I see similar comments quite often.  This from CraigsList...

***I HAVE A 1992 KATANA 750 FOR SALE OR TRADE***I WILL TRADE FOR A VERY NICE SMALL TRUCK OR CRUISER***THIS BIKE IS WELL MAINTAINED***NEW TIRES***NEW BATTERY PUT ON TODAY***THIS BIKE IS TOO FAST FOR ME ***I AM USED TO A CRUISER***HEY IM 40 YEARS OLD***I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER***FOR MORE INFO CALL JEFF AT 903 496 7096 NO CALLS AFTER 930PM OR MY CELL IS 903 458 1179 OR JUST EMAIL ME BACK***CASH OR TRADE ONLY***NO SHIPPING -NO SCAMMERS

OK, a '92 750 is too fast for you because you're used to a cruiser and you're 40 years old?  What kind of dumb sh!t is that to say?  Like, don't turn the throttle so much if it's going too fast.  I'm 49 and I'm not Mladin or Cooley, but there's no such thing as a bike too fast for me.  What does that mean?   :duh:

RE 'Busa vid:  Wow, 100 MPH seems slow after 220+!  Actually, it seemed slow today on I-55, but then there was beer and food at the next off-ramp/

RE stupid ad:  Maybe he'd be willing to trade for a Rascal or Runabout.  I can boost one from an estate sale and make out like a Bandit.

Sooo....If his front wheel is in the air, how does his speedo keep climbing? Do some bikes(I've never heard of this, myself)take the speed off the rear wheel? Or is it clever camera work?

Many bike read form the transmission.  It is all calibrated for the gear speed and wheel/tire combo's total circumference.
There are no stupid questions,  only stupid people asking questions!
