The only mods I'm planning are busa shock, jet kit and racetech springs on the bandit. And most importantly buying a motard, I'm tired of killing myself throwing the bandit down in the corners. Light is the way to go    It's not set in stone, but hopefully I will roll into the rally this year with one(if my new job/raise comes through)

I'm 99.9% sure that right after Christmas I'm replacing all the maroon plastics on my 1200S with the gloss black Canadian plastics for that Holeshot Bandit look (maroon frame/black body).

I've got the bread, just have to get up my nerve to actually start pulling everything apart.  Hope it's not too hard.

Holeshot Top End Oiler Kit( installed it 2 weeks ago), and a good tune up.
If I didn't have a Suzuki, I would have a Kawasaki

Let's see....

I'm already part way through my dual headlight conversion.  It will include a CF Buell XB9/12S flyscreen.

My tank is off and degreased.  As soon as I have the time, it will be Kreemed.

I've been playing with jetting.  As soon as I get the stuff above done (and some rideable weather) I'll be fine-tuning that.

If I get ambitious, I'll be doing a cam swap, too.

Other than that, saving my bike $$ for track days.

hey Josh they had a demo smc625 up here it was a 04 i think maybe a 05 biggest p.o.s. i ever rode. great for wheelies but that was it. lets see bad test ride started when the guy couldnt get it started. then he kick started it. ok, weak battery? so it was warming up, was shaking like a harley so bad it slipped off the side stand :duh:  guy from the dealership picks it up restarts it, takes it around the parking lot to check it out brings it back. goes over the controls. and i leave. get like ten miles down the rode it dies, the dumb ass didnt check the gas before i left. after i try to restart it it kills the battery. i turn the petcock to res. after i figure out thats what was wrong. had to kick start it. mind ya this thing was aready hot. took like 8 kicks to get it running. handled like shit. weird bars make ya sit up but the reach was to far for my short arms. got back to the dealer and agreed with the sales man that it was the biggest let down ever. on paper they look great good power, light wide back tire for good grip. but the ride was one of the worst i have ever had.  but on a good note the bike is still there and it has like 500 miles on it and they are selling it for like 5900 want me to check into it for ya?!! i rode a duke II and that thing was freaking great! wonder if this bike was not set up right or something cause i realy liked the duke but the smc was as bad as riding a harley with the vibes.

Progressive springs in forks (or gsxr conversion)
Change Mirrors
Change Handle Bars
Valve Adjustment
Strip and Polish Rims
Maybe GSXR Intake Cam

After that there isn't much I could possibly do to it except for big bore kit or turbo, maybe next winter!

Thanks mike, but I have gathered the 625 is not really what I'm after, i've heard they are heavy and just not a great motard. I think I am going for a 450xc like manny bought possibly. I am not dead set on ktm though, I have found out, that in tenn. you can get just about any dirtbike titled, so i may find someone to get me some other choice titled, then transfer it here. (maybe a honda crf450x, gotta have electric start)

I need to get a Dualsport lighting kit/horn for the KTM.  Then go get the tag/insurance.

If there is time and money left over after the holidays, I'll think about the Super motrad 17" wheels/tires, a cush drive hub and the 320mm front disk/caliper/master cylinder.

It's a big and expensive project, so I probably won't get all of it done.

Just installed Givi screen and looking to fit new handle bars  (maybe risers) along with braided brake and clutch hoses.

Almost due for 4000 mile service so will do that as well.
Taken over by the dark side. Now riding a CB 1300 but visit my old bandit regular.

I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do. Not sure if I want to strip the whole thing down, straighten the subframe and powder coat. Or just put the R1 tail on the back and leave the subframe a bit teaked and ride. Either way the R1 tail needs paint the dent in my tank needs repaired and repainted.( I'll owe my custom painter big time this time)and I'll get my extra set of rims powder coated silver. I'll put the WP shock back on and a new set of rubber for May. Plan on riding down the tail of the draggon with some friends and hopefully it will be the same time as the Bandit Rally and meet the Banditos. Thats why I'm starting to lean toward stripping and straighting. The R1 tail will be good for a day at Nelson Ledges and playing around.  But for a long haul the stock seat would be better than the pad on the R1 tail.
Motor wise I'll just  adjust the valves.....  OH NO..if I take the motor out to strighten and powder coat it will be tempting to do something! Maybe head work.... ? probably just adjust the valves?
