There's probably some subtle difference though.

There is... the Nebular Black causes a slight shift in the space-time continuum.   :bandit:

Well that would fit the whole theme as the entire bike in comparison to the B12 has few subtle changes.

And how would you know that? You've never even sat on the B1250.

In case you haven't noticed, CWO, there are a lot of new '07 Bandit owners here on BANDITAlley... I would think they're getting tired of you trashing their bikes all the time.  :annoy:

And especially here in Leedogg's thread... kinda rude of you to criticize his new bike. If you don't like it, fine. But tell it to someone who cares.  :stfu:

I sure wouldn't call an all-new motor that pulls >10 ft/lbs of torque over the old one over a 5,000 rpm spread a subtle change, whether you like anything about the bike or not.

It's also getting VERY tired hearing you bash them all the time. Since anyone who's read any thread here about a 1250 knows how you feel about it, how about if you can't say something positive:

Congratulations leedogg. Great bike - enjoy it. I'm still waiting for mine. It seems that it's still on the boat coming over from Japan   but that boat docks at the weekend.

I thought I read on here that the body work is the same as last years?  Don't know- too tired to look it up.

Anyhow- I am back home from training- Gonna do some riding tomorrow!

I just know that last year I saw a few left over 05 B12's and had no interest in the old technology.  FI was a must IMO.  This motor is simply sweet!  so easy to ride...no need to shift down at all...even with my 300 lb butt on it.

I looked at Dale Walkers site- his bike put 100+ hp and 80+ ft lbs of torque to the wheel...stock.  Said when his exhaust comes out it should be worth another 10-15 hp...I am in!

BTW- there are several sitting on showroom floors down here.

The only B12.5 I have seen is the one at the Cycle World show.  So can I borrow yours?  Hey, the only way to see that pretty metal flake paint is to ride it, right?  Plus when you're on it, you can't see the robot face in the engine.

Yep, as Dread just mentioned, the '07 bodywork, seat, and many other components are identical to the '06 B1200 which was not available in the U.S, and also the '05 & '06 B650. We also figured out the swingarm length is the same, though we're still not sure about the suspension and spring rates. The '07 frame downtubes are thicker too, I believe.

All this means is that any accessories such as windscreens, sideracks, seats, or other body parts that will fit the '06 B1200 or '05+ B650 will work on your B1250.

But anything to do with the exhaust or engine will probably be different, and the radiator is wider than the oil cooler on previous models. So things like crashbars, lower fairings, header pipes, and so on will not bolt up right.

Yeah, I saw DW's numbers... 105hp & 85ft-lbs. bone-stock! But the amazing thing is 80ft-lbs. torque at 3000rpm's... that's just sick! You can sure feel it too... as I'm sure anyone can tell from the big grin on your face as I write this... your'e out riding, aren't ya?  :bandit:

Yep put another 90 miles on here yesterday- and prolly gonna do the same today- I get a little braver each time- I have done took to 9000 twice...iknow, I know- but I just could not help it.  The pipes were all nice and chrome looking...then one blast to 9000 rpm turned them gold.LOL

Anyhow- about to head out again!

As Red and Zen are both overexposed as contributors and have plenty of opinions of their own (both are sometimes helpful), I don't see why they have to get crude when Gunner gets on his horse, even if I don't agree with him.  It just drags down a really good forum. I reserve that kind of language for the phone company.
Leedogg, I finally got into the "up to 7500rpm" break-in zone with my 1250S.  Now I'm not sure why it needs the remaining interval to red line.  What an engine!
