"CORAM, Long Island -- A 49-year-old motorcyclist has been killed in a collision with a car on Long Island.

Suffolk County police say Gregory Staab of Middle Island, was driving west on Route 25 in Coram when his motorcycle collided with a car. Police say that Coram resident Bogdan Zajkowski was attempting to turn left in his 1993 Buick when the vehicles collided.

Staab was pronounced dead at the scene."

Another left-turner. Hopefully he died quickly. Hopefully I'll die quickly too when someone turns left on me...

Don't even say that!

Just always be smarter and more alert and more cautious than this poor guy.  I've had close calls, but never gone down and I don't intend to, either!     'Cuz I'm a caution freak.

A few weeks ago the same thing happened here. I Baton Rouge Motorcylce cop died after a car turned in front of him. He also died instantly.
The Baton Rouge Police riders are known for there riding skills as well as having won a few compititions. I know we're all human and make mistakes but these guys rarely do. Sometimes there is no amount of skill in the world that can save you from a unalert cager. It's one of the accepted risk of riding that we all sign up for everytime we swing a leg over out 2 wheeled passions.

Having said that ...my codolences to his family and friends but he died doing something he loved. Best way to go in my oppinion.
