I'll second that — had no idea it was THAT rough a spill!  Remind us how it happened?

Hi guys,  It was the end of a perfect long weekend of riding, our whole group went to brunch in Story IN and we were splitting up, some were taking the scenic route and a buddy and I were going to head back up to 65 and head for home, the scenic group left about 5 minutes before us and we started to head north, I was doing about 40 (in a 35 zone) and coming up on a curve I hit some walnut shells on the road and they drifted me onto the yellow line, a woman in that minivan was talking on her cell phone and riding on/over the yellow, I tried to get back over as quick as I could but she never even saw me until I was bouncing off her front fender. the good thing is emergency crews were on the scene in like 5 minutes and in 20 minutes I was in a helicopter headed for a trauma center..  all is goin good now and I am healing faster than they thought I possibly could... take it easy all, and remember we are invisible out there, I forgot that for a second and it came back to bite me hard... but I will be back in the wind before ya know it.. late!!

Thanks alot man, I am truly thankful on this thanksgiving season, I could have been so much worse and my surgeons were just amazing keeping my leg in one piece, to all other riders, wear your safety gear! all the docs were amazed that I was in a motorcycle wreck, as bad off as my leg was all my gear kept the rest of me unscathed, proper full face helmet, gloves, boots, and a good riding jacket kept me in really good shape otherwise, I couldnt imagine having to deal with other injuries along with this leg, and I helped to make some surgeons believers in motorcycle safety gear..lol
