July road trip

OK, so the notice is short, but that's kind of typical for me...

Matt (Bobcat) and I are planning a trip. Current plans are for the 26th-29th, and we've talked about running up to Banff and/or going over to Glacier NP in MT and riding the Going to the Sun Road.

Anyway, we wanted to extend the invitation in case anyone wanted to come along. Not sure about accomodations yet. We've talked about tenting it for a couple of nights, but that isn't in stone yet. Normally, we don't plan ahead that much, so if you're really anal about an itinerary, this probably isn't the trip for you.

We'll be getting together and pouring over some maps this weekend trying to firm up routes and destinations.

Matt has also put up a similar post on Max-Suz and for MS members, it can be followed here:

Current plan is to head east on Tuesday (26th) on WA20 to the ID border and pick up US 2 to Kalispell, MT. Do the Going to the Sun Highway Wed morning and then head north into Alberta for Banff, cross into BC and head for Osooyoos where we'll cross back into WA. The Banff-back may be modified to follow the Frasier instead in which case we'll cross back near Abbostford.

Wish I could go but a lot of stuff going on.  Busy at work, parents sold their house and have to be out by month end.  We're talking over 25 years worth of junk (stuff according to mom).  Looks like real short trips for me till after Labor day.

Then that's fewer people for you to pull over and wait for...
