The sun is comin'...
« on: February 21, 2009, 01:04:02 AM »
Forecast is high of 48 F tomorrow and I'd go ride, but the kid is in basketball all day... But it's getting to be time to plan a trip for when the weather really breaks. Who's in for north central WA or some such?

oh, and hi y'all

Hey Andrew

It's funny that we are actually talking about riding in FEBRUARY!! :thumb:

I just picked up my new Triumph ST today, and got it out for a few hours, it was great. I going out again tommorrow as well. The benefit of picking up a bike on the Coast...

Anyway, if things stay warm, we might be able to do a 4 day weekend ride, even in April? Count me in, although I will be on a Triumph this year

When does that typically happen Red01?

I'm happy to plan something, except that I really don't know that area and was hopin' someone else knows it enough to suggest something... but I can do it. I figure this won't really happen to April or so, to be realistic.

SR 20 won't open for Red01 until likely mid to late May...but he is kidding a bit...he can always take Hwy 2 over to meet Bobcat, like he often does  :stickpoke:

I can organize us a great list of my favourite roads in and around the US Okanagon. Red, Bobcat & I did a bunch in 2007 and I have made at least 4 more trips through the area...

We only need to pick the date. A 4 day weekend would certainly work for me. Say we leave this Kootenay area on a Friday morning, and we can meet up with Bobcat (and maybe Red) in Republic or somewhere, mid afternoon friday. You and I could meet at say Metaline Falls.

Who's available when in mid to late April? We might have to delay if this recent snow continues, however.  :rant2:

No kidding. Git yer ass over Stevens Pass, Paul. It won't kill you.

I'm thinking late April might be best. Somebody told me the Salmo Creston Pass can be snowed in through June.  :stickpoke:

hrmm... there're no 4-days for me in april at all. sheesh. That means I'd have to head out after class (say 1:00 PM) on a Friday. I could probably be to metaline by mid-afternoon. Then I'd turn into a pumpkin sunday evening. Last weekend in april? (gotta check with my wife... I mean.. calendar, yeah that's it!).
