Fork Braces and Handle Bar Clamps
« on: March 10, 2005, 08:32:03 PM »
I just finished organizing a "Group Buy" for Fork Braces and Handle Bar Clamps from this company:

http://www.chmartin-engineering.co.uk/suzuki-custom-motorcycle-parts.htm

I had seven guys go in on this deal and I got my parts earlier this week.  Let me tell you, they are AWESOME!  To heck with Superbrace!  This company is great to deal with and the fit and finish are supurb.

I'll post photos on my web page when I get them installed on the bike.  In the meantime, here are photos of the products I bought.  The fork braces they sell are only for first generation B-12's.  The HB clamps will fit both generations.

Here is what I got.....

What did you end up paying for them? Put a little metal polish on them and they'll really look good.

I was able to negotiate a 10% discount on the products plus reduced shipping costs (came by airmail from London).  I had 9 guys commit to purchase but 2 of them backed out without any explaination - fu%k^n asswipes  :monkeymoon:   :banghead:  Fortunately, this company still honored the prices I had worked out with them for the remaining 7 bandit riders.  All in all we bought 6 braces and three bar clamps of various styles.

My brace was $86 bucks and the bar clamp was $69 bucks.  Shipping was about 20 bucks.  The deal on the brace was exceptional.  You can't get a superbrace for any less than 120 bucks these days.  Also, this product is far superior/original looking, IMO.  The bar clamp is a bit more than HS clamp but, it is superior as far as the finish goes (polished and not painted) and it has the unique logo.  After all, these are mostly "bling-bling" parts unless you are a very aggressive rider and can take advantage of the increased fork stiffness.  In this case, why pay more than you need too for this stuff?  Also, don't you want the sweetest looking stuff you can get when its mostly for show?  That was my logic on this deal.

The parts didn't need polish Craig as they had a mirror finish when they arrived on my doorstep.
