FYI On the 06 B12 Wheels etc!!!!
« on: October 14, 2006, 01:24:51 PM »
FYI I saw the first 06 B12 Bandit on my N.C. trip. Brought down from Canada by one of the riders. Other than the better headlight, GSF1400 accented eng, and GIXXER front forks, the swing arm, axle assy looks too be the same as the Hayabusa has now, without the bracing of the Busa. Just in case you see a wheel for sale it won't fit the other than 06. I'm sure that will be on the model year 07 if we do get it here? The only pic of it i got was this. The R-fender looks trick too me   :beers:

Currently I'm into modifying my 96 B6 to it's potential. If I want a second bike, I'll get a used one along the way. I voted to get a used one.
The only thing that matters is how fast you can get from 0 to 60, because top speed is secondary

I'm as happy as Larry with my 02B12 and won't be updating for quite sometime - I figure I'll wait until it becomes to expensive to fix.

So given the reliability of Suzuki air/oil cooled engines and gearboxes, and all things being equal, the B12 will be living in my garage for at least another 5 or more years.

For now, my 2G suits me just fine. There's really nothing about the '06 that would have made me want to change even if it had been available here and the '07 doesn't really change things for me either. The new motor puts out a few more ponies, but it also put on a few more pounds, so it's likely a wash in performance. If I were to buy another Bandit, I'd probably look for an '05 just because I like the blue & white paint scheme... the reality of it is though, when I get around to replacing my B12 it will probably be for a factory bagged ST niche bike. I've been a big fan of the FJR ever since I first heard of it. The new Kawi GTR really has my interest the most right now, but I'm willing to wait until it's been out long enough to shake out any bugs. Because of all that, I voted that I'm looking at other makes/models, but I'm not serious about buying anything right now.
