Dupont Wheel Cleaner

Time to do some spring-cleaning. I have found a product that will keep you from scrubbing your wheels as much. Dupont Wheel Cleaner with Teflon. I spent about a half-hour in the local auto parts store looking for wheel cleaners for my wife’s car. Just about all of them use some sort of acid and tell you to try a test section first. Dupont’s doesn’t on each account. So I bought a bottle. The stuff is great. The Teflon doesn’t allow the brake dust to build up as quickly so it is really easy to clean your wheels. I use it on the whole bike. It works great on wire wheels. Sprayed it on hosed it off and it looked like I just waxed the spokes.
Now the down side. This is Teflon. It’s slippery. After using it and before you take off at 170 mph, drag the brakes a little to clean the Teflon off the rotors. Otherwise you will feel what appears to be soft brakes.
No I do not work for Dupont. And no I am not a Jeff Gordon fan. Just trying to help out my fellow Bandits.
