Maxxis Supermaxx M6029 Rear
« on: July 12, 2008, 12:31:41 PM »
Just went through my first tire on the bandit, I had to get it when the nice gentleman to inspect my bike last year said it wouldn't pass with the current rubber and after waiting so long to get the bandit road worthy bought the only dual compound tire they had in stock, therefore Maxxis it was.
I got 7000km out of it, but only about 6000km before I 'should' have swapped it out. When it was finally taken off the little white 'strings' from inside where showing, not to mention the weird inner rubber.
They gave good grip although they seemed to take a fairly long time to warm up in colder weather. If anyone is familiar with Nova Scotia you'll know that we end up spending  a fair amount of time on the highway, even so the Maxxis didn't flatspot until the very end. All in all a decent tire, but there really isn't much to say about it other than that.
