XENA Disc lock/alarm  (OLD MODEL)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 Just got mine!

This is a disc lock, with a self contained tamper alarm!
Prices range from $50-65, from various suppliers. It is available in chrome finish, also.
It's slightly larger and heavier than a standard disc lock. The alarm is a claimed 110db, and loud enough to draw some attention to somebody screwing with your ride. It probably won't wake up the neighborhood. It looks sufficient to scare off the curious, or make some racket after a bluehair knocks your bike over in a parking lot!

The alarm runs off of 2 AAA batteries, which are housed in the
black compartment, accessed by the use of an allen wrench, (supplied).
You can't remove the batteries to disable the alarm, without triggering it. The access for the allen wrench is covered by the disc while in use.
There is a few second delay in the alarm trigger to allow the owner to
remove it with the key.
The alarm is armed by the Disc contacting the chromed, spring-loaded button, inside the 'jaws' of the unit. (see red arrow)

A nice cordura pouch comes with the lock, and can be attached to the bike, or to luggage. The whole unit is a little heavy to hang off of your person when not in use!
The lock itself appears sturdy, and is a typical disk lock design.
I'll follow up with some reports on how it is to live with, sensitivity, etc.

NOTE:The model has changed a bit.  Mine works fine, and offers a little extra protection in a disc lock.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just bought the Xena Disk Lock with the Alarm(yellow) from ironpony. I own a 2003 GSF1200SK3. The lock will NOT fit the front disks. The locking pin is too large to go threw the vent holes in disk and the slot is too short to get it in the middle of the disk. However, it will fit the rear disk it is just harder to put on. So if you want a disk lock for visual deterence go with a different type so you can get it out on the front of the bike where they will draw the most attention to the thieves. AS far as theft prevention the lock will work on the back disk, it's just not as noticeable even in Bright Yellow. The alarm works well and is nice and loud. The cool thing about the lock is if you forget about it, no problem it will remind you it is there when the bike is moved.

I think they make the lock in two different pin sizes. I have one for my 98 B12S and it fits the front rotor holes. Works great however the alarm stopped working after the third time I used.

I acquired my XENA lock/alarm a few weeks ago.  Nice looking, full stainless steel version.  I was sitting at my desk on the second floor of an office building when I decided to put the batteries in for a try out  :headscratch:  .

MAN-O, MAN-O, MAN-O-CHEVITZ!!  I never ran down those stairs and through the doors so fast!!!   This thing is LOUD!!

Fits perfect on my 2000B6

I like the RED [reminder] key and the extra set of batteries included in the packaging.
