Ozark Quickie
« on: August 16, 2009, 01:20:47 AM »
Had to get the F outta Memphis for a couple days. Figured I would just point the Bandit toward Arkansas. Took hwy 64 from Marion Ar and somehow wound up in Mountain View. Toured the Caves (beautiful) got there at the last minute and the guide took me and a family of four through (highly recommend it). Spent the night in Mountain View soooo peaceful. In the morning I headed west again an decided to ride Hwy 7 since the roadmap showed it as a senic route. Just took roads that looked like they would eventually hit hwy 7.  I found Eutopia.  On Hwy 7, I rode 60 miles or so without a soul in front or behind me. Hwy 7 all to myself.  Would post a couple pics but it won't let me.

Would post a couple pics but it won't let me.

As long as they're not huge, that should be fixed now.

Mountain View is a great base for loops all over northern ARK, as long as it's not folk art fest time.  And ARK 07 and ARK 23 are worth doing...repeatedly!  For extra fun,, do ARK 123 south from Mount Judea (which I think the locals call "Mount Judy").  (Check out any of the satellite views online for an idea.)  Gimme a shout next time you head over that way, and I'll tag along if I'm free.

Great road, but I didn't mention it because I always get behind a truck or slow moving car.
