Quaker steak & lube!

If anyone is ever down around Concord, NC you need to check out quaker steak and lube. They are supposedly known for their wings but I didn't try them. The atmosphere was awesome, they had a cruise in type thing. Bikes, more bikes, old cars, a mustang club, and more bikes. Inside there are old cars on lifts over where your eating, bikes hanging from the ceiling. Outside there are some go karts hanging and some nascar stuff. Gets a thumbs up from me  :bigok:

On a sidenote, I met a bugeyed bandit near there and was just wondering if it was anyone here. Appeared new, had the blue and white paint scheme. I was in the middle of about 8 harvey dickersons on a black 98 B12 so I don't know if he saw me.

Yeah, they have one in Knoxvegas.  Wings come in a lot of varieties, from mild to nuclear (you have to sign a release to eat them).  Our QS&L is not as popular with the bikers as the west Knoxville Hooters apparently is, but the wings @ QS& L are much better than Hooters' wings.

Speaking of bugeyes, funny thing happened to me yesterday...I was driving my truck and I spied this pretty cool SV 650 on a trailer going up I-75.  It was nekkid, set up for track use, very cool looking.  As I got close, the guy driving the truck looked really familiar to me, but couldn't place him.  Then... he was in my Sunday School class today!   :duh: Now I might have a new ridin' buddy.

The Quaker steak and lube here in Columbus has bike night every Wednesday. Not a bit uncommon to have between 2k and 3k worth of bikes cruise in and park. Vendors, booths, live band and food galore!! Also, the Iron Pony which is the worlds largest motorcycle accessory store has a bike night every Friday. I'm spoiled rotten!!

A group of guys I ride with from the Gastonia area have been going up there just about every week. I have been wanting to go but just haven't found the time. If I make it up there, I'll be on the lookout for other Bandits. I have a green 96 b6 with the big, ugly Rifle tall shield with Saeng molding on it and a Krauser luggage rack and trunk.

It will be a couple weeks before I'm off on weekends again but I plan on making it back down there when I am. I have a 98 black b12 with a shortened cheetah windscreen and a vance&hines can.
