PROBLEMS WITH MY B4
« on: May 05, 2005, 03:29:25 PM »
HI! hope u guys can help me with some problems i am encountering here. the bike was running fine before this problem came.

it was running on reserve when it suddenly choked or a sudden lack of power. at the petrol kiosk, i pumped a total of 15.66 L of ron 98 petrol. didn't help the problem at all. can't idld after the particluar incident.

then i got home and check the exhaust temp. cyclinder 3 was not hot.

checked the plugs they were firing fine.

then i decided to take a look at the carb screws as i had the problem of losing it the last time. all were intact and were of correct setting.

could it be a problem of the carb getting dirty after running to low in petrol level in the tank or the dirt got stuck in the carbs? hope to get this problem over and done with. thanks.

:welcome:

It sounds to me like you sucked some crap (prob rust) off the bottom of your tank into a jet.

just got back from fiddling with the bike, took out the carbs and took a look at carb no.3. seems like a bit of rust is there. decided to let some pros take a look at the bike. installed back everything and suddenly, it seems to be running ok. maybe the fiddling did manage to release the particles that got stuck some where. also tightened the carb boots and airbox boots.

Hi brudder, S750WP from SBF.

Try to use compressed air to blow all the orifice in  the carb to clear of all the dust and dirt.
