91 Bandit 400 Power curves
« on: January 31, 2006, 04:19:17 PM »
Hey, I'm looking for the power and torque curves for a 91 GSF400 Bandit.  Perferably with some basic performance parts installed.

Reason I'm asking is I'm currently writing a longitudinal force and load transfer simulation program for any production vehicle of my choice for a school assignment, so I chose my Bandit.  Its basically stock, I put a Hindle exhaust on it, and a K&N air filter, but the engine is base.  To model the bikes behavior longitudinally, I need the power and torque curves.

If you got em, email em to me at bartel@uwindsor.ca

Thanks.

SRB

If I dig around on line, I think I can find a scan of a dyno run for a bike with a Stage III jet kit, pod filters and a full system.  Would that be useful?

If I dig around on my old puter I think I still have the ones that Yoshimura sent me.

Keep in mind that some dyno plots are corrected and some aren't.  IIRC, an uncorrected plot's tq and hp curves will cross at 5280rpm, but I might have that backwards...

Not to hijack, but ontario bandits are coming out of the woodwork!

It's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.

I thought it was 5252RPM...
If it's for a paper, why not use that as a reason to take your bike to the dyno

hey thanks for the help..yeah, the stage3 jet kit data is perfect.  about pulling my own dyno run, that did cross my mind, but there just isn't time, papers due next week!  plus, there isn't anywhere local to get that done, i'd have to trailer it for a few hours.  thanks again.  SRB
