Water Leaks...
« on: July 11, 2007, 06:30:03 AM »
Hi, I've got a water leak from the housing above the head. its the part where the coolant cap fits, and half is metal, the other plastic. The water seems to be leaking from the gap in between. I haven't had it all apart, is there any gasket do you know? if its warped, since it doesn't look cracked, is there any fix or am i going to have to hunt around for a new bit? any ideas welcome. for the moment it keeps dripping on the exhaust, then you get a big cloud of steam at the traffic lights...

All that is in there is an O-ring, I just had to replace mine about 2 weeks ago.  The plastic housing on mine appeared warped, I just got an o-ring with a slightly larger cross section diameter.  I've been riding in 100* weather and no problems yet.

Thanks for that, sounds like a better bet than finding that housing. any idea what size it was / should be?
