I've been doing some research, and it seems that although the 'general maintenance' bike manuals for 400's of all years are available in English, only the VV ('95 onwards) variable valve engine manuals are available in English.

The 400VP (or VC) engine manuals - '92, '93, '94 - are only available in Japanese.

Has anyone got a VP engine manual in English?

Does anyone know the difference between the two variable valve motors - the VP and the VV?

buy the Jap one and scan it on your computer and do the translate

go to www.okshon.com sign up for a account deposit money in your account like $5.00 at first see how much YEN they give you for that be some rediculous amount , I have 32 dollars in my account i have like 180,000 yen to play with lol gets me in trouble like a credit card! any other questions just ask Oh and you have to have a paypal account to transfer money to and fro and to pay for your winning item what i have found out is that if its cheap really not worth getting have to look for the deals cause something 5 dollars turns into 25 with the okshon fee and then shipping you still have to pay for ( example I won a air box for the gsxr 400 for like 10.00 turned into 35.00 then shipping i bought a 80.00 airbox not good!)
