Bandit 400 Carburetor Rebuild Kit
« on: April 23, 2013, 10:40:35 AM »
Hello Guys,

New member here. I recently acquired a 1991 Bandit 400 that's been sitting in a shed for more than a decade. I'm starting with the carbs and going to go from there. I've already learned a ton from previous threads on this forum about the most thorough cleaning techniques. The thing I can't locate however, is a carb rebuild kit. It cost's a pretty penny to put one together piece by piece on Bike Bandit, but I'll go that route if I can't turn one up. All the threads on this topic are a few years old, so I thought maybe it was time for a new post on this topic. Any help is appreciated! Cheers!  :beers:

BTW, here's a pic of the beast when I brought her home...

Your local dealer or bike bandit and get the generic rebuild kits. They are made by K & L. Sometimes I see them on ebay.

Surprisingly Bike Bandit told me today that I have to piece meal the kit together, they "don't offer" a rebuild kit for the GSF400.

If the floats seal and nothing leaks I'd just change the float valves and leave everything else alone, until it breaks.
