Hey guys and gals, just a quick intro and then in2 my request for assistance.

My name is Darren, or Dazza and im from Australia. I have just bought my first bike, a 1990 bandit 250 import and am now chasing a few things.

1. service manual
2. handles that allow u 2 sit a tad more upright
3. a bikini fairing

If any1 can help me out with suppliers and costs i would be most appreciative.

Darren

:welcome: Darren!

Most of the 250 owners are in Aus or NZ, and this forum is a little slow at times, but hang in there!   You should have some help/company in a day or so.

Welcome to the alley, Darren!

Check out this thread over in the Members Only forum.  There is a link to a 400 manual.  The 400 and 250 have a great deal in common.  That should get you well over half-way there.

There isn't anything special about the bars.  Just about any cycle shop should be able to get you 7/8th inch bars of just about any rise you want.  They are not at all expensive.

I'll let someone else from down under chime in about a source for a fairing down there.  You can get a little fly screen similar to mine from a Buell/HD dealer.

Hi guys,

I don't often read the 250 forum, but I got a personal message from Darren and gave him a couple of local Aussie companies that may be able to help him out.

Also I thought I'd see if there were any threads here that could help him, and you guys had beat me to it.

Just let me say that the information you guys provide is brilliant.  My local dealer had no idea of the Oil Usage issue and didn't get a copy of the recall/service notice until I printed it and gave it to him.

heheh

the thread IDs are all changed since the board had its little hiccup...

the manual links are stickied at the top of the 250 and 400 forums now anyway.
