Replacing my CDI
« on: January 02, 2012, 02:00:01 PM »
I think my CDI is bad (pending a few more tests) and I would like to replace it. I have a 1991 Bandit GSF400M

This Chinese one on Ebay looks tempting and is the right price:

…but The numbers don’t match.

Does anyone know if this matters? Will it work? Or should I stop being cheap and pay more? I would hate to spend 2x as much for nothing.

This Ebay Listing requests your specific model # so it will be a perfect match but costs 2x as much

I remember reading somewhere in this forum there is a service that I can mail my CDI to and they will re-condition it and mail it back. If they still exist can someone point me in the right direction.
