Hi there,

Am looking to change my clip-ons to street bars/machine bars. Just wandering how difficult this is and do i need anything other thata new top yoke and bars.

Thanks in advance.

BTW, does changing the bars alter any of the bikes handeling properties?????

It'll be easier to turn since you'll have more leverage, but the more upright riding position gives less feedback/feel. You can get some of it back just by leaning forward when you're threadin' the twisties.

I'm not sure if you have any different cables/lines from the B4s with regular bars or not. If you do, you may need a longer brake line.

You should be able to find someone willing to swap bars, yokes and whatever else pretty easily.

I went the other way I went to clipon's from handle bars and thou the change is small the clipons are way more comfortable than the stock bars. Just a little lower and turn the wrist a little inward is all the diff is and alot easyer on the arms on long rides and easyer to tuck in

If shipping weren't too much from Britain to the US I may be willing to swap my stock bars for clip ons.

If my parts ordering experience (~3-4 lbs) from the UK is any indication, the expense of shipping between the US and the UK isn't much more than shipping from one US coast to the other.

IIRC, Jay has bought engines from across the pond, so he could probably tell us about shipping for heavier parts
