« on: June 20, 2006, 08:21:26 PM »
hey all just got a great 400 and was having some fun on it and getting used to it. accidentaly stalled it out on a hill and now i got nothing no indicator lights and no love from it. checked the fuses and they all seam to be intact and good. going to check the battery tomorrow. just seeing if there are any other tricks out there for the 400.
thanks

Do a search on the ignitor which is a form of a CDI box. I am betting that may have been the problem if you don't get lights on at all and the battery is fine. If it's the battery great! If not, be prepared to do some serious soldering.

If its the battery, the next step is to figure out why the battery died.

Yeah - the CDI/ignitor wouldn't kill the dash lights and everything.  You'd just loose spark.  It's gotta be a battery/wiring/charging thing of some sort.

It almost sounds like the wiring harness connector popped off the battery. I've had some flat batteries before, and they'll still light up the lights.

Is there a "main fuse" in-line somewhere on these?  (Sorry... mod/admin forgets and is too lazy to search!).
