GSF 250 Bandit Magnet Problem and Engine Heavily Vibrating
« on: February 06, 2013, 09:47:01 AM »
Hi Fellows,
I am from Pakistan and new to this Bike. Two days ago during start up magnet coils of my bandit were broken and engine started to vibrate heavily and was not going over 50 KM/H. I instantly loaded it to carrier and went to mechanic. He said i have to change magnet coils and also have to change crack shaft because it should be damaged. I wanted to ask if it is so then bike should not START anyway. Is he trying to bluff and make extra money??
Secondly why bike was not going even at 60 KM/H
Kindly reply soon i am too much tensed.
Thanks in Advance

I kind of doubt the crankshaft was broken. If it was it would be totally dead and you would hear a bunch of grinding metal if at all. It could be that the coils are dead, did you check to see you have spark on all the cylinders?
