FS - V&H Race Headers, and SM Type 1 bars (and bike)
« on: May 31, 2006, 09:23:38 AM »
Man - this is tough for me.  I'm selling my bike.  I don't have time to ride on the road EVER and want a bigger/newer bike for the track.

I probably wouldn't get any value out of this stuff on the bike so I'm going to sell it separately.

* Vance & Hines full race exhaust. The can is badly rashed. The headers have been painted with 1500 degree paint and look nice. The mid has one scrape on it. All springs included. Also included is a custom bent, high-mount mid pipe that will allow you to use your own 2" slipon. The high-mount does require you to cut your passenger peg bracket. It will also require a 2.125" clamp.

* Type 1 Suburban Machinery bars.

$100 plus shipping for the exhaust. $100 shipped for the bars.

The catch - I'm not selling these until the bike is gone.  I want to give the buyer of the bike first crack at them.  If for some reason the bike doesnt' sell, I'm putting them back on.  I'm posting this now so that you guys can call dibbs if you want.

If anyone is interested in the bike, HERE'S a link to my ad on this site.

THANKS!   :bigok:
Rob

damm if only you were on this side of the water I'd buy it in a shot, don't suppose you know how much it would be to ship that exhaust to the uk?

cheers

I don’t have a clue but I could find out.  I think I paid about $50 to send full leathers ‘cross the pond to Ireland (that didn’t go very well but I think it was an Irish customs problem).

BTW – bars are spoken for.

Rob your selling your bandit???

You can't. You're the moderator!  Who will moderate us???

Are you at least moving up to a B12???

All joking aside, good luck with the sale.

If Pete will keep me, I'll continue my highly-paid duties here.   :duh:

If I get another streetbike in the near future, it will likely be a B12.  Right now, I'm looking at late-90s track-only bikes - GSXRs and R6s mostly.

I'll box them up and weight them this weekend.  Let you know.  I just put 15 pounds, which I imagine is several pounds heavy, into the USPS calculator.  At that weight, it looks like almost $70.  I'll get a better figure for you soon.

BTW - I still have Metzeler M1s for sale, too (150/60 rear 110/70 front WELL over half tread left).  If they don't sell in the next week or so, they'll go to ebay.

So sad   ... I hope you made many pics of it in every possible angle, i know i would..
Your bike is kinda the flagship around here, i doubt i would get mine as neat as yours. Yet i understand your reasons and it's your call on what you should do...
Good Luck with the sale and hope you'll get a B12 soon

Sorry - crazy weekend.  I need to find a box.

As stated above, this is just calling dibbs.  If the buyer of the bike wants to buy them, they can.  If I don't sell the bike, they're going back on.

BTW - the tires are now on ebay if anyone is interested.

Well, I got a deposit on the bike tonight.     The guy does not want the exhaust.

I weighed it.  Damn!  With the can and packaging, it's damn near 20 lbs.  That's about $85USD to GB for airmail parcel post.  I could probably loose a pound or so if you don't want the highmount midpipe and just took the 3 piece VH system.  LMK if you're still interested, flint, and I'll take it to the USPS and get a more exact number for you.

Bit of advice Rob.

FedEx is a bit better as far as pricing goes. Check your package and dimweight and see. I sent off a rather large one this past week and they beat the UPS and USPS price by about $20 orso.
