I ended up with Michelin Pilot Activ's on my bike last year. I didnt wanna spend too much, and I REALLY dont need super sport tires (its a B4, its also my first bike etc...).

They are bias-ply tires, but so far, so good! I believe the B4 is designed with bias-ply tires in mind anyway. They were also the only tires I could find in the stock sizes (for a decent price). I think both of them ran me about $200 together, but you'll probably find cheaper prices in the US. I think its an excellent tire for the money!

Pilot Activ is supposed to be a great commuter tire, offers enough grip on dry and wet roads, has deep profile and lasts long. I've never tried it though, I only want radial tires and nothing less than Pilot Power. Radial tires steer just that much better and have more grip and feedback. Even though it's a B4 it has enough power to make a Pilot Power 2CT slide in corners. As far as the front tire goes, it's offers loads of grip for braking hard into corners, good feedback as well. They have a rather linear slip curve as well. However it's only about 10 degrees centigrade right now, these tires really start to kick ass when it's about 20 degrees centigrade. It's not easy to get them to reach the right temperature on a B4. Some pics of the front tire on random spots to get an idea about this tire's compound :bigok:

Any reason not to run a 160/60/17?  Motorcycle superstore is having a sale on them & are back ordered on 150's.  Is it worth waiting for the 150's?

There's been some debate here about that.  Try doing a search for "160" in this forum.  You should get a decent number of hits and some good feedback.
