I don't know if the length will be OK for you, but if it has an integrated reservoir, you might want to check out this thread on the 400 FAQ:

http://forums.banditalley.net/viewtopic.php?t=207

It is possible to fit one in, but looks like a lot of modification. Easier to go for an earlier GSXR750 shock with remote reservoir, they will apparently slip right in. I just bought one myself. Once I receive it, I will post about how it turns out.

Yes with a big smile. I did this with my b4 and the thing runs like I think a Ducati does. Light bike with a super sport suspension. You cannot do more for yourself and the bike. I love the modification. If you have any questions I am more than happy to help.

Details, man... we need details!

Did you have any problems with the install?  How'd you fit the piggyback reservior?  How much longer is that shock/how much did it raise the tail?  I love my B12 shock but also have access to a cheap, new-style Gix6 shock.

I will post a detailed step by step of this job. I have had it on my bike for almost a month and I love the way the b4 handles. I tried it under all different conditions and the new shock is just amazin. You get Super Sport suspension for very little money and a little getting durty. I did all the thinkin so I hope that atlleast one other person will try it and we can share notes on how great the conversion is. The rest of you will have to live vicariously through us. Post will be up late tonigh I have to check my notes. I hope I have awaken some curiousity.
