Hi All

I want to replace my bandit's swingarm with the RGV250 Banana Swingarm
and was wondering if anyone has been down this road b4. Cause I stay in South Africa I have to import all the stuff I need for the bike as now one here
does aftermarket bits for the 400's.

If anyone can help in this regard i would really be gr8ful

I'm expecting my RGV swingarm in a few days. Then I need some parts for the rear brake to make it fit. My deadline to have it installed together with a GSXR front end is April.

gr8 so it can be done. does the RGV swingarm fit with out any machine work
being done to it? Im trying to get my hands on 1 down here in south africa to
pop into my bandit. I have a picture or two of the bike lying around somewhere. when i get a chance ill post it up for all to see. U no sort of like a b4 picture and as we go along ill post more pictures with the new mods.

It's not 'plug & play', you'll need some spacers which have to be machined. You also need a solution for the rear brake if I'm not mistaken.

i am also on the hunt for the stater cover for the motor, mine has a
small hair line crack in it after I went sliding down the road with the bike.

Oil and old batlaxe tyres dont mix

Need tyres that give much betta grip ? Going shopping this weekend to find some tyres. My brothers girlfriend works at pirelli and ill get her to use her staff discount

thinking maybe some supercorsa tyres should do the trick.

Wont the rear brake asse. from the RGV work ? this might sound daft

but are you doin this mod to ur bike and if so would you be so kind as to keep me posted on your progress.

I'll be making some pictures when I'm installing the swingarm. I'm waiting for all the parts at the moment.

Hi Guys

Should be getting my tyres today

then away we go.
I was just wondering , my motor is very noisey compared to a friends
bandit 400. mine has a louder tapping noise compared to the other bandit and just after 10 000rpm mine gives out a little wine and its fine again.

any thoughts on this?

Does yours have a red valve cover?
(OEM B4's & 250's with red valve covers have VVT and they make a little noise about that high)

no the motor has been completelly resprayed, it is the normal bandit 400
and not the one with the VC motor.

Broke the crank on that one and bought the normal 400 motor and slapped
in. We have recentlly gone thru a fuel change down here in good ol sunny South Africa and i was wondering if it could not be from incorrect octane levels or lead levels in the fuel.
