What's with the old dirty sock on the brake reservoir? It must add 10 hp or something, I see them all over at pose downs.

Has anybody personally tried that vfr400 single sided swinger swop? try saying that fast...

I've always fancied it for mine but last time I mentioned it the only replies I got said impossible. Hope its not a case of throwing loads of money at it.

its a rfv 400 (nc35) swingarm and wheel (ive got the same and it said so in the ad)
i havent found the time yet to make mine fit (with a ducati 996 wheel) though.

for your info, this is my rear wheel, just not on my B4 yet

will tell all about it when i have the time and some other parts to do it  :stickpoke:

You can still buy the faring and seat unit new from gimbel in germany.

You sure about that? I couldn't find anything B4 related on their site, and I don't recall them carrying the B4 Limited's fairing. Wild Hair Accessories in the US imports the Gimbel pillion fairing/cover and it still shows on their site, so maybe it's just not shown on the Gimbel site?

I do love the looks of the Limited, especially in the red & black w/gold pinstripes.  :drool2:

How can I make my wheels to look like this?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume the B4 wheels are made like most of the rest of the Suzuki line, including the bigger Bandits. If that's the case, the center of the wheel is rough cast, including the center of the rim where the spokes attach, and the outer parts of the rim are smooth. If that's the case, all you have to do is apply paint stripper to the smooth parts to remove the paint and you'll end up with a fairly shiney surface. With some extra polishing work, you can make 'em shine almost like chrome.

This one (mine) has the edges just stripped and the natural finish left alone (because I'm too lazy to put in that much effort on the polishing for just a little bit more shine).

This one was stripped completely and had the center powder coated to match the bike and the rim polished to a bright shine:

Despite all the bling on this one, there's something about the rectangular headlight and the little flyscreen bit above it that I like. If it was on a more stock looking bike, with some small electronic gauges, it might be OK.
Anyone care to speculate what bike they were originally from?

:thanks:
The only downside to polishing them up, is they now show every bit of dirt, so I'm constantly cleaning chain lube and road dirt from them if I want them to look good... when I'm lazy, they show everything!
Sometimes I wish I would have just left them black.
And I'm sure glad they're not white!  :bandit:

It's a C90 headlight with the back cutout to fit a halogen bulb. PM me an email address and I can send you a PDF about that bike.

Something is up with this bike.....anyone else notice the carbs?....them aint stock!
Neither are the 6 piston brakes.
Ive no idea what the canister is on the right side, looks like an oil catch can or an accumulator. Its fair to say this bike is either heavily built,or the owner is deeply commited to gadgetizing.
I only waited 15 years, to buy a B4!!

He's a gadget freak, since he's still running the original fork and swinger. Just look at the tires.
