That looks like a board members bike. Check this thread.

I think it covers the pro's and con's.

I think it's a great bike and you should buy it.

But I'm a little biased

Well, the camera washed the color out, the color isn't -that- red and that well matched... Nikon D70, still haven't learned what all the gizmos do.

It's now 1:30 and I -just- got the carburation about spot-on. She's got a flat spot at 4k, which I believe indicates I need to drop the needles one notch. I did manage to fix the 'falling on it's face at 10,000RPM' by going back to the smaller jets... 117.5 mains were just too big.

Well, it's not for sure sold yet.

I'm really thinking about either a Bandit 1200N if I can find one, or the '03 919 that is just up the road a bit. I'm leaning towards the 919, it really reminds me of the 400 only bigger, plus it's lighter and has a little more power than the Bandit. I just need to get my credit card payed off first, then that money can be used for a payment.

Maniac, someday you're going to regret selling that bike and wish that you had slapped that GSXR front end on it and just rode. It would be sweet.

I hope the guy buying it has the money/sense to buy the front end at the same time.

Well, he called me back today and told me he was getting the '93 Ninja 500 he went and looked at as well, I think it was a little cheaper.

Ninja 500s are good bikes, so I wish him the best of luck with it.

Saturday I'm supposed to ride the Bandit down to Orlando to have it checked out by a mechanic (guy did some work on it for me too, good man). Hopefully that'll all go well and the bike/front end will be sold.

Hi Maniac,

If you still have the front end next week, I may be interested.  I am first trying to sell the front end off of my B4, and if I succeed, I want to go with the USD forks.

Keep me posted on the status of your sale.

Thanks,
