Mk1 and Mk2 front forks / yokes same?
« on: September 29, 2012, 10:50:36 AM »
Hi all,

I've just fitted a front wheel into my mk2 400v from a 400 limited (think its an mk1).

Now I cant get the wheel aligned in the forks with my spacers, and instead end up with a 5mm air gap on the left hand spacer (as you look at it) and the fork leg. Both my new and old wheel appear to be the same hub width so I can only assume I have the wrong spacer or I'm missing another one that fits in between the two. If I tighten everything down as is, I end up with the right hand fork leg bending inwards and the calip / disc all out of alignment.

Any clues / help greatfully appreciated!

Ben

Sorted it! it was me being stupid - the shoulder on the spindle took up the space and I didnt push the fork leg over to touch the spacer this time = no issues!
