I've slogged through the Search function and haven't been quited able to find the info that I'm looking for. I'm interested in switching to pods purely because the stock airbox is such a bitch to R&R. But I'm not sure what size to put on. I've also heard mention of clearance issues with pods. Anybody care to elaborate?

I only had problems with the airbox once. Now it just pops on without using any silicone spray or oil or anything. Just make sure the clamps are loose enough.

The BMC pods are #3092. Not sure what the K&N # is, but filters that fit a 54mm bellmouth will do the trick.

I have to ask why you want to install pod filters, If your under the assumption that your bike will make more power your wrong. The bandit has a very well designed air box that's very hard to beat.
Hell its has built in velocity stacks. I have spent many hours with mine on a dyno. What you will get is more noise and way way harder to rejet. Where you will gain some performance is by removing the anti honk tube and drilling 2 extra inlets one on each side of the main one

mine came with the pod filters and the velocity stacks the stacks were on the carbs with the filters over them cheers ran great
