Another Bloody Newbie carb question
« on: January 15, 2009, 03:24:29 AM »
Sorry, have to ask another one of those newbie quesiton regards to Carb...... I have read as much as I can on the forum and googling it... but still got a question to ask...

I have finally a place of my own so I can strip down my B250 to do some long over due work on it (such as repair dents on tank, repair back fairing and broken mud front guard, and lastly the carb)...

As part of fixing "Why don't you start youd amn bike" problem from my previous post, I decided to take up the recommendation from gsxr400 racer and various other members, to strip out my carb and clean them.
I managed to pull out the whole carb and remembering all of the disconnected parts, got the stubborn drain bolt out, as well clean up thoroughly with carb cleaner and put all of them back together without any problem or left out parts.
I have attached the carb back to the engine without problem, and reconnected all of the connection, but suddenly, i realised something is abit odd when I was about to attach the airbox back....
I found two noodle coming out of the carb that has noting to attached to, and I don't remember anything attached to them either (See below picture). I checked the spec of my B250, and it is supposed to use Mikuni BDST carb, but BDST does not  have these two noodles. So I concluded that previous owner must had replace it with another carb (whatever the reason was).

Can someone have a look at the picture and tell me what are those for ? and if possible, tell me what model is this carb, as there is no any signage what model this is.....
And possibly, let me know what I am supposed to attach it to ???
