Looks like a nice clean install. Can I see a profile of the entire bike? I'd like to see how much the seat was raised.

Looks great!!! What was the length of the bracket you made to move the battery box back? Is that the only thing you had to mod?
This would be a great idea for people, as the newer GSXR shocks are way cheaper, more adjustable, and easier to find than the old ones.
I still need to try and fit a fox shock I got, if that doesn't work I'll go this route.

That looks great. I did not consider simply moving the box back, I understood someone to say that you could switch the resevoir to the back of the box, but it then hung down 2 inches under the frame where the rear hugger could hit it during full compression. It looks like your battery box may be subject to interfere with the hugger, but maybe it is not possible if you are using the stock dog bones so the rear suspension does not use all of the area under the seat.

BTW, I dig the paint scheme, looks great.

When I first had the idea of moving the battery box I was afraid that it would bottom out. I also read of someone placing the bottle behind the battery box but that was too in the way and the electrical work was a nightmare. But I found just the right spot where even at full compression the battery tray would no be hit by the rear hugger. After I was familiar with its behavior I asked a friend of mine who weighs 185 lbs to go for a ride on the back seat. I took some canyon roads and the suspension was great. The battery never touched the hugger. My girl and I ride out to the beach regularly and everything seems firm. even with a pasenger i can carve the cayons with more confidence now.

How big is your girl and what exactly is firm? (just kidding).

Are you using the stock dogbones? I may look at doing this after the track day next week. Also, post an overall pic of your bike so I can see the color scheme.

Actually that color scheme is the 'other' one we got in the US. It seems most US B4s are red on red with either white (91 and 92) or silver (93) rims. The blue on silver was available at least one or two of those years. If you look on ebay right now, there are 2 B4s there - both in blue on silver. Other markets in that same time also got black on black which looks great.
