Right Footpeg Bracket
« on: March 28, 2005, 05:40:14 PM »
Anyone know of a b400 somewhere that has a right footpeg bracket intact?  I am needing on pretty badly as the peg hole has cracked all the way through and it is only a matter of time before it won't hold any more.

Well, mine's intact but you can't have it. I need it myself!

Have you checked Ebay for bikes being parted out? Another good idea would be to look up some motorcycle junkyards, a lot of B400's are scrapped do to failed Igniters. The footpeg brackets may be fine.

Is the crack weldable?

That's excatly how I got mine.  I emailed someone that looked like they were parting out a bike and had one that was absolutely cherry.

Looks like Gimbel rearsets from Wild Hair would cure the problem, too.

There is this guy from UK on ebay, who is selling a bunch of b400 parts  I would email him and ask him, even if it's not posted that's how i got my Ignition box.
Good luck.

There was actually a discussion about welding one of these on the old board right here.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.  I checked with the guy on ebay and am waiting to hear back.

I can't weld it becasue the previous ownew thought it would be neat to cut the rear part off (the part that kind of looks like a diamond and is cosmetic), so I would just as soon get a new one.

Well shipping from England would cost 10 pounds so it really isn't worth (thanks to the oh so great exchange rate).

Try posting on this forum under the "Parts for Sale" section.  I posted a WTB for a rear wheel and a member contacted me and we completed a successful transaction.  Good Luck.
