Hello, i'm french and my girlfriend just buy a nice Bandit 400 but she hasn't got the driving licence yet. I try the bike but when the motor is cold there is a strange thing: when i open wide the gaz the motor doesn't accelerate immediately, it hesitate few secondes before going up. Is it a temperature problem, is the motor enought warm?

Does your hesitation problem improve once the motor heats up? My bike does the same thing, but it only lasts for a couple stop lights...

Yes, the engine has to warm up first. You're not supposed to go over 8000 RPM until the oil is warm enough. If you do, you will reduce the engine's life.

Yes, that's pretty normal. Most 400s do that at about 4000 RPMs for a minute or two - longer if the air temperature is low.
