Sore nuts.
« on: May 04, 2007, 12:45:32 PM »
Anybody else get swore nuts from riding? I was out for a couple of hours yesterday and today my boys are sore. Is there an easy fix short of castration? I'm wondering if the sarget seat is softer or has less slide.

And no I didn't armoural me seat! LOL.

I don't have that problem.  I actually find my B12's tank pretty comfortable.  I would imagine off-road riding would be a different story, but I've never done more than a coupl miles of gravel at any one time.

If you're wearin' boxers instead of briefs, try something more form-fitting.  A place for everything and everything in its place.

Nope, not even on that 800 mile day I pulled last fall (on stock seat, suspension, etc...)

Your boys are too big.  You are not genetically predisposed to favor riding motorcycles...  Sorry  :stickpoke:

Sven I thought the same thing. So I experiemented with different under garments and still was experiencing pain. Herr Tod, I keep my knees on the frame. I've got bruises to prove it. 92mx83 Last I checked I didn't have elephantitis or anything. It just feels like a twisted a testicle every time I ride for more then a few minutes.

Seeing no one else has this problem, I'm figuring its not the seat. I've got flat bars, stock pegs, and long legs. If I slouch while riding it takes some of the pressure off the area, but kills my back (and makes me look like a dork).

Where do those harely guys get those fancy sheep skin rugs? I've heard they are comfortable. Only joshing. I'm gonna try moving the foot pegs back and seeing if that gets rid of the pressure.

I've got to figure out something to make riding more comfortable. I've been dodging taking the bike out lately cuz of the pain.

Hey Mike,
I'm pretty sure there was a thread a while ago about shimming up the sea latch to raise the font and stop the sliding problem, I've been thinking about trying that out myself.

Take a lady friend and have her hold them for you!

Sorry man, I couldn't resist. But to be honest if it's causing you that much discomfort maybe you should check with your doctor, it's the first I've ever heard of a problem like that.
 Hope you get a solution.

Good luck, BANDIT #999

I've got not Quite flat bars, stock pegs and long legs too (I'm an honest 6'4" w/ 33" inseam).  I haven't noticed any sort of sliding issue where I'd think about raising the front of the seat (but then I take up the seat too, I can feel the lip at the rear...  comes from being 260lbs).

So I'd think maybe your riding style.  Do you have the balls of your feet on the pegs and support a bit of your weight with your legs?  It's a sport-riding position (giving you the freedom to move around on the bike without giving any inputs to the bars), but might give you some relief from the more sensitive area and shift it to muscle burn in your legs (for a short while, then only when you really do long rides).

Sucks that it's happening and making it less than desireable to go ride.  You could use the excuse of snow if you were here in Wyoming.  We're supposed to get 3~7 inches of snow in the next 24 hours.
Cheers,

I don't think it's the balls on his feet that are giving him pain, although they could make it hard to find shoes that fit.

I get some scrotal discomfort on my FZR1000 after about 100 miles.Even with the Corbin seat, the bars are pretty low on that bike, and I end up near the front of the seat.It doesnt help that it has a little "kicker" in the front of the saddle that usually ends up crammed in my crotch.Ill usually scoot back a little, then put a some more weight on my hands,to take pressure off the seat.Makes me with I had a gut to rest on the back of the tank! :duh:
I shouldnt complain though, when we all ride down to Laguna Seca for Superbike Weekend,my buddy who rides a Ducati 750SS is nearly screaming in pain by the time we get there.Hes good for about 50 miles initially, then about every 5 miles after that,I see legs and arms start sticking out in all directions.

No discomfort from the B4 when stock, although I only rode it for a limited time before changing everything to this much more aggressive stance.Ill let ya'll know how it tickles me with the clip-ons and USD swap, once I get her done.
I only waited 15 years, to buy a B4!!

Dude, have them re-contour your seat, just like those gender-specific bicycle seats.  Have the seat guy scoop out a little nest for the eggs, so to speak, then re-upholster.  Badda-bing! :bandit:

I don't have that problem, but the B4 seat does tend to make me slide towards the tank. I'm continually moving myself back, it's not good if you go over a bump when you're up against the tank.

Are you sure it's the seat and not your riding pants?
