Yeah - my recollection is that only one was interchangeable.

US spec Bandit 400 had 14/46 front/rear sprockets.

Zhi, did you change to a bigger sprocket or keep the stock size?

I actually went to a smaller 44 gear in the rear so I can hold the lower gears a little longer for cruising around town. If you want more pickup and go, you'd probably want to go larger rear.

93s are different than 91-92. One uses a 46 rear, the other a 47. I can't remember which is which at the moment. Either someone will chime in with the answer or I'll check later.

You are right again. I checked and the 91-92 uses a 47T and the 93 uses the 46T rear

If I may,
1)Sprocket Specialist was way backordered (time was short). So I went and called Sprocket Center (888-265-2141).
2)I got the front in steel with the stock 14 teeth.
3)I got the rear in alloy with 49(2 extra) teeth.
4)Both are for a 520 size chain conversion. This gives you a lighter and less expensive chain option.(EK 520SRX(114 link) from BikeBandit.com)
5)Everything was in stock from AFAM and cost just shy of $90 for both.
6)The larger rear lowered the gearing for more acceleration. The lighter parts reduced spinning weight.
7)I did a couple other repairs and modifications at the same time so I can't give a controlled performance gain report.
8)It does have alot more punch and now goes to the redline for a higher top speed.
9)I guess I got the best of both worlds for once. 125mph-2nd gear pulls!

Congrats, sounds like a good change. Try to stay out of jail, the cops won't be nearly as impressed with your 2nd gear wheelies as the rest of us.
