Strange carb issue

Hi,

I bought this bandit 25o recently. With GJ74A engine. It was running like rocket when I bought it. I could reach 130 kmph on 3rd gear.

The problem was hard to start in the morning and folding plugs. I opened the carbs and clean them and did following adjustments.

Float height – 8.6mm
Pilot screw- set to 1 turn returning
Main jet-90 (same as before)
Pilot jet – 12.5 (same as before)

For these settings bike ran very poorly I couldn’t even touch 100kmph on 6th gear
So I changed the float high s following

9.6mm – better but still not good
10 .2 mm – still not good
11 mm – better but not good

After every adjustment I synchronized the carbs.

Now the float level is 11mm and way out of speck. I have following issues

1.   bike runs flat at 3000-4000 RPM and 6000-7000 rpm
2.    low  throttle response it was going like a rocket before now it runs like crap
3.   cannot touch 130 on 6th gear

Please advice me
1 did I do anything wrong
2 why the original float setting (8.06) was rich?
3 what shoud I do to make the bike run better like before?

thnks!

did you check the float valve in the carbs?
if it can't shut the fuel income, it will continuous to make it high fuel level.

try to do a test for the needle valve.
