It was finally time to swap out that bad second gear (the object of much cursing on my part) with a (somewhat) new one.

Well, the operation has begun. The patient is on the table, and the heart transplant is in progress. It's a gory affair, and the tools of the trade are scattered about.



Here, the patient eagerly awaits the outcome of the operation.

i didnt know Sonic is also a Bandit besides being a hedgehog  :lol:  :grin:

i see your cilinders and head are still on there...
why not check everything while your at it?

lol. Yeah, he's a bandit alright. I love sonic, and the bike needed some more streetfighter attitude. Mission Accomplished.
As for the Cylinders- they're good from what I can tell, and the bike has already been down too long. Plus, gsxr is right, I just don't have the cash to do anymore right now.

Right as youv'e had your engine apart recently could you have replaced the rear cam chain tensioner plastic part without removing the barrels?

Wow, that's ambitious!
How do you know exactly what to replace?  Can you take pictures of the bad or damaged part for us, maybe compare it against what it suppose to look like?  Good luck :grin:
