Weird tire size...does it matter or make a difference?
« on: August 23, 2011, 07:43:21 PM »
Hey everybody!

So my tire is bald. Passed inspection cause we know the guy...but he says get a new tire.

So im lookin for a Dunlop Arrowmax GT501 in 150/70B17 to replace the bald one.

Find a decent used tire in eBay. Finally gets delivered, but the size is 140/80B17...slightly narrower and taller. Seller works with me, says have your money back and keep the tire! Hells yeah!

So my question is will that narrower tire really make that big a difference/problem? Or should I just mount the free tire go about my way?

If you.dont wanna run it ill come pick it up :p

Itll be roughly term millimeters shorter and roughly ten taller...but truth be told you prickly won't notice a difference but id put money down you wouldn't know at all considering its at least fresh rubber.... My b4 is getting dangerously bald
