Another carb question
« on: June 01, 2012, 06:02:10 PM »
Hi all, basically I have a bandit 400 thats been stood for a while which I'm trying to get back on the road again, took the carbs off to clean stale petrol out of and discovered that the needles don't all match - one of them is different. It's a 1989 Bandit and the only original spares I can find are for the 91,92 and 93 models which also have different main jets etc so would the needles be different too or would they be ok? And what about the needle out of the GS500? As I have read on here that a lot of the other parts from those carbs fit the bandit too. I know I could use a jet kit like the factory pro one, but I didn't want to spend that much if I could avoid it, especially as I'm in the UK and I would get stung with expensive shipping charges and import charges.
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give.

Im sure all the later ones run 5EZ80 needles and you should be ok on these.
