on the front. doing it on tuesday. cant wait. my clutch'll be sorted then too.

what am i likely to expect? big difference or moderate?

You know how you have to be gentle in first gear to not pull a big wheelie, well now you have to worry about second as well :lol:

with a 14 in the front, my B12's 1st is all but useless.  Sure accelerates like a bat out of hell though.  :banana:

I just haven’t seen a need to change sprockets on my 05 B12. Its got so much dam torque already I just don’t see it. Now my Suzy DRZ400s I went from a 15 to a 12 countershaft sprocket because this off road rocky trails require some slow and difficult  terrain negotiation and its great but lost allot of top end from 90 to 60 MPH. And my Suzy RM100 which I converted from a MX to a trail bike dropped from a 13 to a 11 for the same reason.

Just hope you don’t end up repeatedly looking for that extra gear on those long empty road trips which is almost more annoying then anything you are missing at the bottom.

that shouldn't be a problem. not where i live anyway. very rare that i'll go on the motorway, other than that, the roads arn't long and centainly not empty, lol.

was hoping to have it done today :sad:

things didn't go as planned. but its arranged to be done tomorrow night now. fingers crossed

goes like buggery!!!

dont know so much if thats cos the clutch has been fixed and i didn't know the true power to start off with, but there's a big noticable difference. a lot more torque.

I diden't realize your driving environment was tight without much strait driving. otherwise I would have recommended you drop 2 teeth. I never had a situation where I dropped or added only 1 tooth from stock as it always seems that 1 just isn't quite enough.

yeah i prob gone another down. ihave thought of going up 1 on the rear too while the chains still new.

its not so much tight driving. but not really any real open roads. unless you go on the motorway. but i hardly use that. and as much as anything, there is always too much traffic and too many cops.

The great thing about drive sprockets is that they are cheap and you can usually drop down as far as 12 before you have to add teeth to the back.

Dropping one tooth in the front is the same as 3 in the rear.  I added two in the rear and like the change.  It gave me a little more low end and little effect on the cruising side.

 2 on the rear only?  or aswell as 1 on the front?

i have 1 down on the front. i'm happy with it. but want more, with out shelling out for a new bike
