6 and 12 Frame
« on: September 07, 2008, 08:40:39 PM »
Hello all, I am trying to find a frame for my 2001 Bandit 600.  I have received many different answers about what frames I can use.  I was told that I could use a frame from either a 600 or 1200 as long as it is 2001 through 2004 model.  Does anyone know this to be true of false or where I can find out for sure?
Thanks!

The frames carry different part numbers and have some minor differences, but the 600 motor will bolt into a 1200 frame.  If you have a 2G 600 and want to use 2G bodywork, then a 2G 1200 (2001-2005) frame will work for you.

If you get the whole B12 frame c/w swingarm, you will have a nicer aluminium swinger and passenger peg brackets as well.

Then the only problem you will have is any real bandit rider will think you have a 1200, since the engines are hard to tell apart unless you look at carbs and number of fins...

Isn't the 12 motor painted black and the 6 silver?
