spark plug connector

FYI. My last bandit (a 1998 1200) had an intermittent misfire
. I finally found the cause. It seems the "clip"(for lack of a better term) inside one of the spark plug connector boots broke. So it was not making solid contact with that plug. Hence an intermittent lack of spark at the plug, causing the misfire. And the plug wires are molded to the coil. So you can't change just the boot (that I know of
) so the whole coil needs replacing. YMMV

the sum intelligence of humanity is a fixed quantity. The greater number of people, the less intelligence per person (and I resemble this remark).
If it's too loud, you're too old.

The wire is molded to the coil, but IIRC, the plug end is just screwed into the coil wire and can be replaced. If not, you could still cut the OE plug cap off and get a screw-on type to replace it.
