vent hoses on an 05 b1200

do you need the hoses with the rubber t's on the end of them that go on the carbs? I believe they are just for over flow, but don't know if missing them effects mixture.

No they don't serve any purpose really.  I took mine out after realizing one was kinked and causing the engine to stall out.

In the event you happen to get fuel into the vent system, they would prevent it from being spilled onto the hot engine. Thats why they are routed aft of the airbox.

I had them installed on my bike for that reason.

Are you referring to the 3/16" ones on the L-side of the carbs pointing up??? If so don't plug em or you won't go to far! They look like they should be routed to the air box but all says to just leave em alone!!! :beers:  :beers:  :motorsmile:
