I've been noticing there have been really good deals on Carbon Can's from the UK on ebay. Including a Carbon fibre can for about $300 Canadian, the stainless is only $220 Canadian. They look alright and come with a mid pipe(they call it a link pipe). Anyone have one of these suckers? The feedback on ebay seems to assume that at least it shows up to your door when you order it and it sounds good, but there are no reviews, no Dynos, no user reviews. Nothing. If I just went on to see what ebay "reviews" say, but I could only guarentee that they dont rip you off and it ships to your door. Does anyone have this oval can for any bike and can tell me if it actually does what an aftermarket can should do or does it just sound better and give you no more horsepower.

I avoid carbon cans.

They will self destruct if the the bike ever tips over on that side
The clear coat will break down on cheap ones
The black in the carbon will fade to a horrid brown/tan color after one seaon in the sun.

Don't do it.

Yeah I was thinking about the stainless one just for those reasons alone.

About the only advantage of a carbon fiber can is weight. I have a friend who had Yoshi carbon fiber cans and I was shocked on how light they were. the only problem I saw was that the band clamp eventually wears out the can and you can't rebuild them. After they wore out, He switched to the stainless steel.
