That's because the Brit's are used to ridding slow, crappy Norton's and Triumph's. It is not a novice machine.
The TL was definately a handfull- 55in wheelbase, 425lbs, and 100+ hp in a torquey V-twin config with a high, rearward CG.
I would not have rode mine with the steering damper, it is absolutely essential. I saw 135mph once at the top of 4th gear-6 speed- and that was fast enough for me.
I'll say this, it would absolutely suck the side covers off my jetted, Yosh pipe equipted 2005 B12.
I never saw any frame damage, but I did not stunt it as most people do. It offered max bang for the buck and was a blast to ride. I kinda wish I had not sold it.
