does anyone have any experience with swapping the diaphragm type clutch with the multi spring type? i've got a '97 1200. :thanks:

I don't have the experience, but here's what you need to do the conversion:

(1) '92 GSXR 1100 clutch outer basket (p/n 21200-40821)
(1) '92 Katana 1100 inner hub (p/n 21410-06B03)
(1) '92 Katana outer pressure disc (p/n 21462-06B00)
(1 set) '92 GSXR steel and fiber clutch plates (p/n 21400-40C01)
(1) extra fiber plate (p/n 21442-48B00)
(4) springs (p/n 09440-20018)
(4) bolts (p/n 09116-06171)
(4) spacer/bushing (p/n 09180-06174)

(3) 1" ID flatwasher from hardware store... you need these to
correct the basket-to-nut spacing,
(1) 7/16" ball bearing to correct pushrod length.

Remove the Bandit's drive gear from the back of the OEM basket and re-install it on the new GSXR part.

:thanks: for the info. hopefully i'll get to tear my bandit apart this winter, swap out the clutch, change the cams, and paint it. :roll: That is if i can stop riding it for a couple of months :motorsmile:
