Exhaust
« on: March 28, 2005, 09:52:09 PM »
Hi all.

At the mo iv got a standard bandit soon to be restricted.
Id like a bit more grunty sound from it. By putting a aftermarket exaust on will this mean the 33bhp restriction kit is useless. If not witch exaust do u think i shuld get? sound clips would be helpfull
 :thanks:

Go with a scorpion or yoshi, both sound good, but a bonus on the scorpion is that the packing is lifetime warenteed

Hey man,     I got the 14" comp 2 from Holeshot, its freakin sweet. Its got all the grunt you can hope to get from a bike. HP increase was nice too, feels kind of like a stock 929 with exhaust and jet kit.
Go for it man. sweet
adios

You've got a B12 (1200 cc) and your happy that it feels like a 929? I think you're a little too estatic about a cc drop bro....but it could just be me :?:

I'm not sure what you blokes do to restrict bikes, so I don't know for sure, but my SWAG is a can will not render the restriction useless. Might lean it out more.

A piped & kitted 929 should be good for ~135-140rwhp... if you've got a piped and kitted B12 that feels like that, that's worth getting excited over!
That's ~20 more hp than a B12 usually gets from a pipe & kit.

First off, CC's has pretty well nothing to do with it man. If you've ever ridden a 929, you would see what I mean. Second, I meant that my Bandit, which is piped and jetted, feels like a STOCK 929. Big difference. Go with the Holeshot. adios

Micron! thats what I have and it sound sweet. As for restriction the end can will have less back pressure, so should accelerate faster and louder, had 135mph out of mine the other day and I think stock top is 138mhp and it wanted to go further. And as Red1 said if the little plastic parts fall out for the restriction, well where's the problem. Who is going to stop you to make sure you have the bits in? :monkeymoon:

Just go for it!

Its a silly UK law. uder the age of 21 you can only use 33bhp, but you can go and buy a really fast car at the age of 17! UK RULES what a load of bollox. :stop:
